What Talking Manual keeps when you talk to an assistant, who sees it, and what you control.
Talking Manual is operated by Archieboy Holdings, LLC. We provide assistants on behalf of businesses, such as car dealerships, for the products they sell. In this policy, "the business" means the company whose product your assistant belongs to.
What we keep
When you use an assistant, we keep the text of your conversations (typed messages, and written transcripts of voice conversations), the contact details you confirm, short notes the assistant saves to help you next time, and a record of any requests you ask it to send. The business may also give us the contact details it already holds for you, so that you are not asked for them again. We do not keep recordings of your voice.
What the business sees
When you ask the assistant to pass something to the business, the business receives your request, the contact details you confirmed, your earlier requests, and the recent conversation. The business also receives reports of the questions owners ask, which it uses to improve its service.
Who processes your conversations
Voice and text conversations are processed by OpenAI's AI services so that the assistant can understand and answer you. Our records are stored on our own servers, hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States. Emails are delivered through Amazon Web Services. The assistant may look up public information, such as the United States government's vehicle recall database.
What we never do
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your conversations to advertise to you. We do not share your information with anyone other than the business behind your product and the service providers named above.
Cookies and storage
The assistant page stores a random identifier in your browser so that it can continue your conversation. Essential cookies protect our forms. We may measure visits to our public pages; your conversations are never included in that measurement.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your conversations, contact details and notes at any time by writing to us or to the business. Deleted material is removed from our live systems promptly and from backups as they expire.
Children
Talking Manual is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18.
